It is very important to know who is talking on which verse or on what portion of the verses, because sometime the same verse could contain saying of more then one character. Some verses can be interpret as Allah’s direct word. Yet majority of the verses which start with term such as [ Said / O prophet / Say  / O you who believe /  They said / He said / They ask  /And / Remember / ] can also be understood as Allah’s  message.

We also find some verses contain, saying of other characters such as [Jinn /  Angel /  Angel-Messengers / Previous-Prophets /  Prophet-Muhammad /  Believers / Disbelievers , Devil] here are few examples of the verses which contain:

"Verily, I am Allah: There is no god but I: So serve thou Me (only), and establish regular prayer for celebrating My praise.[20:14]

With the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful [1.1]

read! In the Name of your Lord Who has created [96:1]

O our people, respond to the Messenger of Allah and believe in him; Allah will forgive for you your sins and protect you from a painful punishment [46:31]

"I tell you not that with me are the treasures of Allah, nor do I know what is hidden, nor claim I to be an angel. Nor yet do I say, of those whom your eyes do despise that Allah will not grant them (all) that is good: Allah knows best what is in their souls: I should, if I did, indeed be a wrong-doer." [11:31]

Truly! Allah is my lord and your lord, so worship Him (Alone). This is the Straight Path. [3:51]

Our Lord! Cause not our hearts to stray after Thou hast Guided us, and bestow upon us mercy from Thy Presence. Lo! Thou, only Thou, art the Bestower [3:8]

"Why do you not bring angels to us if you are of the truthful?"

said, "By your might, I will surely mislead them all [38:82]

Except, among them, Your chosen servants.[38:83]

The Quran 85:22

in Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz (The Preserved Tablet)

The Quran 42:51

It is not given to any human being that Allah should speak to him unless (it be) by Revelation, or from behind a veil, or (that) He sends a Messenger to reveal what He wills by His Leave. Verily, He is Most High, Most Wise.

The Quran 2:118

And those who have no knowledge say: "Why does not Allah speak to us (face to face) or why does not a sign come to us?" So said the people before them words of similar import. Their hearts are alike, We have indeed made plain the signs for people who believe with certainty

The Quran 13:39

Allah blots out what He wills and confirms (what He wills). And with Him is the mother of the book

The Quran 9:6

And if anyone of the Mushrikun seeks your protection, then grant him protection so that he may hear the word of Allah (the Qur'an), and then escort him to where he can be secure, that is because they are men who know not.

The Quran 9:40

If you help him  not , for Allah did indeed help him when the disbelievers drove him out, the second of the two; when they were in the cave, he said to his "Be not sad  surely Allah is with us." Then Allah sent down His Sakinah  upon him, and strengthened him with forces (angels) which you saw not, and made the word of those who disbelieved the lowermost, while the word of Allah that became the uppermost; and Allah is All-Mighty, All-Wise.

The Quran 81:19

Verily, this is the saying of  a most honourable Messenger

The Quran 6:7

And even if We had sent down unto you a Message written on paper so that they could touch it with their hands, the disbelievers would have said: "This is nothing but obvious magic!"

The Quran 56:79

Which  none can touch but the purified

The Quran 3:73

And do not trust except those who follow your religion." Say, "Indeed, the [true] guidance is the guidance of Allah. [Do you fear] lest someone be given [knowledge] like you were given or that they would [thereby] argue with you before your Lord?" Say, "Indeed, [all] bounty is in the hand of Allah - He grants it to whom He wills. And Allah is all-Encompassing and Wise."

The Quran 2:115

And to Allah belong the east and the west, so wherever you turn there is the face of Allah . Surely! Allah is All-Sufficient for His creatures' needs, All-Knowing.

The Quran 2:285

The messenger believeth in what hath been revealed to him from his Lord, as do the men of faith. Each one believeth in Allah, His angels, His books, and His messengers. "We make no distinction (they say) between one and another of His messengers." And they say: "We hear, and we obey: (We seek) Thy forgiveness, our Lord, and to Thee is the end of all journeys."

The Quran 2:3

Who believe in the unseen, establish prayer, and spend out of what We have provided for them,

The Quran 3:81

And [recall, O People of the Scripture], when Allah took the covenant of the prophets, [saying], "Whatever I give you of the book and wisdom and then there comes to you a messenger confirming what is with you, you [must] believe in him and support him." [Allah] said, "Have you acknowledged and taken upon that My commitment?" They said, "We have acknowledged it." He said, "Then bear witness, and I am with you among the witnesses."

We have two form of Al-Quran one is in book format and other is recorded in human brain [hafiz ] the Mushaf [book format Quran is created because it is  written on paper / material which may contain some printing error and nonbelievers can touch it despite the verse 56:79 indicate they cant.

While we have the other form of Al-Quran which recorded on human brain, which no one can touch it except the purified one [the angel] and that is the word of  Allah and for sure Allah can speaks without the help of any sound or letters.

Also when the quran talk about Allah’s hand or face,  it does not mean Allah has any kind of hand & face, like we do remember it is necessity for us to have hand & face, while Allah don’t have any necessity. Therefore them word  are simply metaphorical, similarly when Allah say this quran is his word it also could be metaphorical & Allah only used it for our own understanding because Allah used the terminology which we are able to understand.

It’s very important to understand that whenever this Quran been recited, it always been read out either by honorable angel messenger [jibril amin]  to human messenger Muhammad  and then prophet Muhammad read it out to mankind and now the mankind is reading or reciting to each other. There is no trace that Allah with HIS own vice has read it out to anyone.

Therefore when I  say I believe this Quran is the word of Allah, it is also link with one of them commandment that indicated in Al-Quran for us to believe in unseen such as believing on  Allah / angel / messengers / revelation / jinn / heaven / hell & so on.. which cannot be seen with any naked eye save just believing up on it.

The believer of the time of prophet Muhammad they didn’t see either how the quran was revealed, they simply taken Prophet Muhammad word for it and they blindly believe whatever came out from prophet Muhammad voice as quran, it is the quran that sent down by Allah and that was their unseen belief which indicated on verses 2:3

And it not only happen with prophet Muhammad but every other prophet also received whatever  portion of the book in same manner

Here is an example,  If a simple question ask to child – What is the colour of sky during daylight on a cloud free day ?

They will reply simply by saying it’s blue. Yet when that same question asked to a scientist, the answer will be different with longer definition / explanation of the cause of it and how it get differential colours in the sky.

It same if someone simply ask to ordinary believers-  is the Quran book of Allah or word of Allah ?

They too will simply answer “Yes it  is what we believe. Yet when the same question ask to person whom manage to gain more  knowledge from the book of Allah he will answer it with longer definition and explanation and that will make more sense.

If we simply and broadly just say everything in the Quran are the direct word of Allah, [instead of explaining it correctly like the above example of the sky ]  then we will have some problem, when an atheist ask why does your Allah need to praise for himself on the chapter 1 verses 1 of the Al-Quran ?

Now if we understand that, this verses is a saying of the honourable messenger , then we don’t have any issue and its make senses too,  that the messenger can and should say  With the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful [1.1]”

And please don’t understand me wrongly, because even though it is saying of the messenger, yet it still the word / message of  Allah. And that is why even though we see some verses indicate it’s saying of other character, but if we look few verse above then we see them verse start with something like [They / He said].

Therefore  I believe  this whole Quran is the message or word of Allah, but it is the saying of the honourable Messenger and Allah is the sole author of His message and it contain the verses from the book and it is the explanation of the book and the mother of the book is with Allah. [ Allah knows best ]
