OBEY ALLAH AND OBEY MESSENGER

[AteeAAoo Allaha WaateeAAoo AlrRasoola ]

First of all how & what  do I understand by this word “Ateeaaoo = Obey ” ?

To me it mean the believer of his time need to “blind following him / believing him / helping him & unconditionally accepting his judgement and for me since he is not around I need to believe him as messenger and follow his message [Al-Quran]

If we look closely to the verse 4:65 we find the term “ateeAAoo” is only used in fornt of Allah & messenger but it did not used on front of “Al-Amri “ Now is there NO  reason behind that ?

Of-course, because no Amir can be followed blindly or unconditionally same as Allah & His Messenger and the verse is very clear regarding it.

Al-Quran 4:65

[Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo ateeAAoo Allaha waateeAAoo alrrasoola waolee al-amri minkum fa-in tanazaAAtum fee shay-in faruddoohu ila Allahi waalrrasooli in kuntum tu/minoona biAllahi waalyawmi al-akhiri thalika khayrun waahsanu ta/weelan ]   O you who believe, OBEY  Allah  and OBEY  the messenger and those entrusted amongst you. But if you dispute in any matter, then you shall refer it to God and His messenger if you believe in God and the Last Day. That is better and more suitable for knowing.

Also if we observe verse 2:62 & 2:285 which indicate. Even the messenger as well as all believers need to believe on Allah / Last Day / His angel / His Book / His messengers [ which include all tree type of messengers such as Human / Jinn  & Angel messengers]

And  “Believe / Belief ” is something by its  nature is UNSEEN and this is why Allah mention on 2:3 that believer believe on unseen [ which indicate to Allah / Last Day / His angel / His Book / His messengers] and for me today the prophet Muhammad [s] is also unseen because I am not in his ear.

The Quran 2:285

The Messenger believes in what has been sent down to him from his Lord, and (so do) the believers. Each one believes in Allah, His Angels, His Books, and His Messengers. (They say), "We make no distinction between one another of His Messengers" - and they say, "We hear, and we obey. (We seek) Your Forgiveness, our Lord, and to You is the return (of all)."

The Quran 2:3

Who believe in the unseen, are steadfast in prayer, and spend out of what We have provided for them;

The Quran 2:62

Surely those who believe, and those who are Yahood [Jewish], and the Nasara [Christen ], and the Sabiens; any one of them who believes in Allah and the Last Day, and does good work, they will have their reward with their Lord, with no fear over them, nor will they grieve.

However ,Sunni & Shia sect  try to interpret “ Obey the messenger “  is indicating to their homemade hadith collection and they also claim its talking about prophet Muhammad [s] Sunnah or his Attitude / character , yet they forget all of them Ahadith is nothing but other people “Hear & Say” which Collected, Written  & Authorised by themselves, Not even one of them hadith has any solid proof to show, it is the saying of the Prophet Muhammad [s].

I wonder if them so-called Ahadith was part of Deed & was necessary to preserved it,  then why Allah [swt] didn’t  simply mention about such Sunnah of the prophet clearly instead of just using the term “ArRasool, or why not mention prophet name directly such as “obey Muhammad” yet we find several verses mention about  SunnatuAllah [ Allah’s way] But not even one verse which say "Sunna tul arRasool= Prophet Sunnah" so is there no reason behind it ?

However I notice that most of the time Al-Quran use term such as  "Obey Allah & His [the] Messenger "....Which lead to another Question such as, Since  Al-Quran have been revealed to Prophet / [Human] Messenger Muhammed [s] and he was the first person whom need to obey or  exercise upon it. Therefore he need to obey Allah and His messenger too. Specially when the verse 2:285 clearly mention, the Prophet also need to believe what have been revealed to him. Therefore who was that messenger whom the prophet Muhammed [s] himself  need to obey or believe ?

To understand that we need to ponder on verse 3:81 which indicate or take about The Messenger  whom all Prophets need to obeyed since they have agreed in form of Allah .

The Quran 3:81

And Allah took a covenant from the prophets: "For what I have given you from Al-Kitaab / the Scripture and wisdom, then a MESSENGER will come to you authenticating what is with you. You will believe in him and support him." He said: "Do you testify, and agree to this burden", they said: "We testify." He said: "Then bear witness, and I am with you bearing witness."

THE  IIPC UNDERSTANDING ON

“ Obey Allah & Obey messenger”

Even I mostly disagree with IIPC sects ideologies, yet I find their understanding on this issue is much better then Shia & Sunni concept.

IIPC propagate all verses which start with  “O ye who believe”  are Allah addressing us directly, therefore when we obey them verses, then we are obeying Allah. Also All the verses that start with “Say” are also Allah talking to us through Messenger, and when we obey them verses,  then we are obey  The Messenger. And this is why it is the same thing because both is referring to the same massage, [Al-Quran]. And this is why  4:80  indicate He who obeys the Messenger , has indeed obeyed Allah.

Nevertheless even the above IIPC concept has some weak points, such as we know according to verse 81 :19 the whole Al-Quran is “qawlu rasool = Saying of messenger”

The Quran 81:19

Verily, this is the Word of a most honourable messenger

Therefore we cannot say them verse which start with “O ye who believe” are  Allah directly addressing, in-fact it could be the  honourable messenger addressing. And we also understand those verse which start with “Say” are related to other  peoples who’s asked questions to the prophet or when some peoples made some enquirers And then Allah clarify their enquiry by replying through the honourable messenger toward  the Prophet / human messenger [Muhammad ]

For us as a ordinary believers, this Quran is a saying of the Prophet / Messenger Muhammad [s]

And for the Prophet / Messenger Muhammad, it is the saying of the  honourable messenger.

And for the honourable messenger, it is the saying / word /commandment of Allah [swt]

Therefore whoever obeyed, believe  & follow the Messenger has indeed obeyed, believed & followed Allah, as indicated on 4:80.

Also it is very important to understand that, every messengers / prophets era, the believers was only need to believe, which more or less same as blind faith, because them peoples just taken the word of their prophet/ messenger & believed on him that he was a messenger from Allah to them and he do received revelation from, no one seen the actual process of the receiving revelation or any angel came to prophet and delivered the message / ayat /verses. And the rejecter / disbeliever would still reject or disbelieve even if Allah did send an angel for them to see with their naked eye. Which indicated on them verses below.

The Quran 2:210

Do they then wait for anything other than that Allah should come to them in the shadows of the clouds and the angels? the case would be already judged. And to Allah return all matters .

The Quran 6:8

And they say: "Why has not an angel been sent down to him?" Had We sent down an angel, the matter would have been judged at once, and no respite would be granted to them.

The Quran 6:9
And had We appointed him an angel, We indeed would have made him a man, and We would have certainly confused them in which they are already confused.

So by them verses it is clear that the believer are believing Prophet / Messenger more or less blindly, even when all prophets / messengers came with proof from Allah and again it is matter of believing them proofs and accepting it as fact. And the believers believe on them, because they find All of the TRUE Prophet / Messengers of Allah, has beautiful character, attitude & Manners. And more importantly the message they convey is nothing but the ultimate truth & the undeniable fact.

The Quran 68:4

And Verily, you are on an exalted  character.

Why do I believe in Allah ?

Because I believe in the Prophet / Messenger

Why do I believe the Prophet / Messenger

Because I believe in the Message

Why do I believe in the message ?

Because I find it’s nothing but the TRUTH

Also if someone deeply ponder on the verse 57:25 specially on the term  [“warusulahu bialghaybi = And His messengers in the unseen”] And ponder why Allah saying beliver need to help [ meaning believing ] the Messenger UNSEEN ?

The Quran 57:25

Indeed We have sent Our messengers with clear proofs, and revealed with them the Scripture and the Balance (justice) that mankind may keep up justice. And We brought forth iron wherein is mighty power (in matters of war ), as well as many benefits for mankind, that Allah may test who it is that will help Him (His religion) and His messengers in the unseen. Verily, Allah is All-Strong, All-Mighty.

CONCLUSION

Since I am not in the time /era  of Prophet / Messenger  Muhammad [s], therefore to me this phrase “obey Allah & obey messenger”  is same thing as believing unseen Allah and believing unseen messenger and why do that is only because of the Message [Al-Quran] itself . And my challenge to those who say “ Obey Messenger” is meaning the so-called manmade Ahadith or the so-called manmade Bible or the so-called manmade code 19. I ask them to put forward their manmade message which they worship, and I will prove it is noting but pure conjecture. [Allah knows best]
