[Prescribed/ Ordained]

To me everything in the book of Allah has reason and since this specific [TERM ] been used in the Quran on several places , therefore there must be a reason to it, which made me wonder & encourage  me to ponder on all verses which contain such term [KUTIBA/KATABA] to understand it more correctly. However sometime them term  is used (nothing but) just as a linguistic/literal reason.

[please note I used poplar translation just explain and make things clear but all translation may have error and it is the understanding of the translator it is NOT Al-Quran the book of Allah ]

The Quran 38:29

The Quran 2:178

O ye who believe! The law of equality is prescribed to you in cases of murder; the free for the free the slave for the slave the woman for the woman. But if any remission is made by the brother of the slain then grant any reasonable demand, and compensate him with handsome gratitude, This is a concession and a Mercy from your Lord. After this whoever exceeds the limits shall be in grave penalty

The Quran 2:180

It is prescribed when death approaches any of you, if he leaves any goods, that he makes a bequest to parents and next of kin According to reasonable usage; this is due from the God-fearing

The Quran 2:183

O ye who believe! fasting is prescribed to you as it was prescribed to those before you that ye may (learn) self-restraint.―

The Quran 2:216

Fighting is prescribed for you and ye dislike it. But it is possible that ye dislike a thing which is good for you, and that ye love a thing which is bad for you. But Allah knoweth and ye know not.

The Quran 2:226

Hast thou not turned thy vision to the Chiefs of the Children of Israel after (the time of) Moses? They said to a Prophet (that was) among them: "Appoint for us a king that we may fight in the cause of Allah." He said: "Is it not possible, if ye were commanded to fight, that ye will not fight?" They said: "How could we refuse to fight in the cause of Allah seeing that we were turned out of our homes and our families?" But when they were commanded to fight, they turned back except a small band among them. But Allah has full knowledge of those who do wrong.

The Quran 3:154

After (the excitement) of the distress, He sent down calm on a band of you, to overcome with slumber while another band was stirred to anxiety by their own feelings, moved by wrong suspicions of Allah, suspicions due to Ignorance. They said: "What affair is this of ours?" say thou: "indeed this affair is wholly Allah's." They hide in their minds what they dare not reveal to thee. They say (to themselves): "If we had anything to do with this affair we should not have been in the slaughter here." Say: "Even if you had remained in your homes, those for whom death was decreed would certainly have gone forth to the place of their death"; but (all this was) that Allah might test what is in your breasts and purge what is in your hearts: for Allah knoweth well the secrets of your hearts.

The Quran 4:77

Hast thou not turned thy thought to those who were told to hold back their hands (from fight) but establish regular prayers and spend in regular charity? When (at length) the order for fighting was issued to them behold! a section of them feared men as―or even more than―they should have feared Allah: they said: "Our Lord! why hast Thou ordered us to fight? Wouldst Thou not grant us respite to our (natural) term, near (enough)?" Say: "Short is the enjoyment of this world: the Hereafter is the best for those who do right: never will ye be dealt with unjustly in the very least!

The Quran 4:127

They ask thy instruction concerning the women. Say: Allah doth instruct you about them: and (remember) what hath been rehearsed unto you in the Book, concerning the orphans of women to whom ye give not the portions prescribed and yet whom ye desire to marry, as also concerning the children who are weak and oppressed: that ye stand firm for justice to orphans. There is not a good deed which ye do, but Allah is well-acquainted therewith

The Quran 9:120

It was not fitting for the people of Madinah and the Bedouin Arabs of the neighborhood, to refuse to follow Allah's Messenger nor to prefer their own lives to his: because nothing could they suffer, or do, but was reckoned to their credit as a deed of righteousness whether they suffered thirst or fatigue or hunger in the cause of Allah, or trod paths to raise the ire of the Unbelievers, or received any injury whatever from an enemy: for Allah suffereth not the reward to be lost of those who do good;―

The Quran 9:121

Nor could they spend anything (for the cause) small or great nor cut across a valley, but the deed is inscribed to their credit; that Allah may requite their deed with the best (possible reward).

The Quran 22:4

About the (Evil One) it is decreed that whoever turns to him for friendship, him will he lead astray, and he will guide him to the Penalty of the Fire

The Quran 2:187

Permitted to you on the night of the fasts, is the approach to your wives. They are your garments. And ye are their garments. Allah knoweth what ye used to do secretly among yourselves; but He turned to you and forgave you; so now associate with them, and seek what Allah hath ordained for you and eat and drink, until the white thread of dawn appear to you distinct from its black thread; then complete your fast till the night appears; but do not associate with your wives while ye are in retreat in the mosques. Those are limits (set by) Allah; approach not nigh thereto. Thus doth Allah make clear His signs to men that they may learn self-restraint

The Quran 5:21

O my people! Enter the holy land which Allah hath assigned unto you, and turn not back ignominiously, for then will ye be overthrown, to your own ruin."

The Quran 6:12

Say: "To whom belongeth all that is in the heavens and on earth?" Say: "To Allah. He hath inscribed for Himself (the rule of) Mercy that He will gather you together for the Day of Judgment, there is no doubt whatever. It is they who have lost their own souls that will not believe.

The Quran 6:54

When those come to thee who believe in Our Signs, say: "Peace be on you: your Lord hath inscribed for Himself (the rule of) Mercy: verily, if any of you did evil in ignorance and thereafter repented and amended (his conduct) lo! He is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful."

The Quran 9:51

Say: "Nothing will happen to us except what Allah has decreed for us: He is our protector": and on Allah let the Believers put their trust.

The Quran 58:21

Allah has decreed: "It is I and My Messenger who must prevail": For Allah is One full of strength, able to enforce His Will. (21) Thou wilt not find any people who believe in Allah and the Last Day, loving those who resist Allah and His Messenger, even though they were their fathers or their sons, or their brothers, or their kindred. For such He has written Faith in their hearts, and strengthened them with a spirit from Himself. And He will admit them to Gardens beneath which Rivers flow, to dwell therein (for ever). Allah will be well pleased with them, and they with Him. They are the Party of Allah. Truly it is the Party of Allah that will achieve Felicity.

The Quran 58:22

Thou wilt not find any people who believe in Allah and the Last Day, loving those who resist Allah and His Messenger, even though they were their fathers or their sons, or their brothers, or their kindred.

The Quran 59:3

And had it not been that Allah has decreed banishment for them, He would certainly have punished them in this world: and in the Hereafter they shall (certainly) have the Punishment of the Fire.

The Quran5:32

On that account: We ordained for the Children of Israel that if anyone slew a person―unless it be for murder or for spreading mischief in the land― it would be as if he slew the whole people: and if anyone saved a life it would be as if he saved the life of the whole people. Then although there came to them Our Messengers with clear Signs, yet even after that many of them continued to commit excesses in the land.

The Quran 5:45

We ordained therein for them: "Life for life, eye for eye, nose for nose, ear for ear, tooth for tooth, and wounds equal for equal." But if anyone remits the retaliation by way of charity, it is an act of atonement for himself. And if any fail to judge by (the light of) what Allah hath revealed, they are (no better than) wrong-doers.

The Quran 7:145

And We ordained laws for him in the Tablets in all matters, both commanding and explaining all things, (and said): "Take and hold these with firmness, and enjoin thy people to hold fast by the best in the precepts: soon shall I show you the homes of the wicked― (how they lie desolate)."

The Quran 21: 105

And verily we have written in the Scripture, after the Reminder: My righteous slaves will inherit the earth:

The Quran 57:27

Then in their wake, We followed them up with (others of) Our messengers: We sent after them Jesus the son of Mary, and bestowed on him the Gospel; and We ordained in the hearts of those who followed him Compassion and Mercy. But the Monasticism which they invented for themselves, We did not prescribe for them: (We commanded) only the seeking for the Good pleasure of Allah; but that they did not foster as they should have done. Yet We bestowed, on those among them who believed, their (due) reward, but many of them are rebellious transgressors

The Quran 7:54

Your Guardian-Lord is Allah, Who created the heavens and the earth in six days, and is firmly Established on the throne (of authority): He draweth the night as a veil o'er the day, each seeking the other in rapid succession: He created the sun, the moon, and the stars, (all) governed by laws under His command. Is it not His to create and to govern? Blessed be Allah, the Cherisher and Sustainer of the worlds!

The Quran 4:132

Unto Allah belongeth whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is in the earth. And Allah is sufficient as Defender.

The Quran 4:78

"Wheresoever you may be, death will overtake you even if you are in fortresses built up strong and high!" And if some good reaches them, they say, "This is from Allah," but if some evil befalls them, they say, "This is from you " Say: "All things are from Allah," so what is wrong with these people that they fail to understand any word?

The Quran 13:31

Had it been possible for a Lecture to cause the mountains to move, or the earth to be torn asunder, or the dead to speak, (this Qur'an would have done so). Nay, but Allah's is the whole command. Do not those who believe know that, had Allah willed, He could have guided all mankind? As for those who disbelieve, disaster ceaseth not to strike them because of what they do, or it dwelleth near their home until the threat of Allah come to pass. Lo! Allah faileth not to keep the tryst.

The Quran 17:77

(This was Our) way with the messengers We sent before thee: thou wilt find no change in Our ways

The Quran 33:38

There is no reproach for the Prophet in that which Allah maketh his due. That was Allah's way with those who passed away of old - and the commandment of Allah is certain destiny -

Some of these verses contain them term which used purely  literal & linguistic reason. But on some occasion them term used as to emphasize the importance of the message /subject.

However here is some note which I derive out from some of the verses. It is NOT an interpretation or translation of any verses  but just my understanding & thought.

[ 2:178 / 5:45 /280]

We find mankind respectfully admit it is important and good to be fear and try act or support the equality. [Will/2:80] We find mankind always give importance and try to leave something for their offspring

We find mankind is observing several type of fasting some doing it in the form of dieting, some doing it because of manmade religion and some doing  it as according to Allah’s prescribe  law (Ramadan/Siam). However since the FAST has written over mankind therefore the vast majority Muslim will follow it.

I have notice that even, an ordinarily Muslim who is not very practicable  but they don’t miss the FASTING as they do with other Islamic religious duty. that’s itself is a another prove that fasting is written over mankind. Moreover the human bodies observe the FASTING while on SLEEP and this is why when we awake up in morning we call it breakfast.

[2:216 / 3:154]

We find people do fight and kill each other however the Quran always against all unjust killing & fighting but people will continue doing it. Also No soul can die except with God's permission and every soul have to die regardless what they die for or by.

[4:127 /9:120/ 22:4]

All law related to mankind is well clear, established & written. And Every good deed will preserved/recorded and will be given full reward of its value. Also we always find every bad friends/company lead to ruin

[ 2:187]

The mankind have to eat & drink and will do (sexual Intercourse ). But if they do according to Allah’s law they will have healthy life.

[ 6:21/9:51/58:21

It is impossible to find same level of mercy & protection that what ALLAH can provide. Man can’t even be mercy/protector to himself or to his family. How can they be mercy/protector to/of others

[58:22 / 21:105]

Faith is written in the heart, so the mankind will have to believe they may not have correct faith but they have to have faith of something, for example one may say : I believe NO GOD or I believe one GOD but they can’t escape from  word BELIEVE. And we always find the truth always prevail and the righteous will receive victory

[Q7:54 / Q4:132 / Q4:78 / Q17:77 / Q33:38]

Them verses as well other verses indicate about All power, commandment & everything  belong to almighty ALLAH,  All good & bad is also from Allah. And no change on Allah law/way “Sunnah”, Also Allah’s all commanded is written and established.

We find Allah's Sunnah/ Commandants are accepted by vast majority of the Mankind and that is because, them Judgement/Ruling/Regulation of Allah is FAIR & JUST. Also the mankind & every creation of Allah have to willingly or unwillingly obey Allah. And this is what the term [KUTIBA/KATABA] indicates and shows us the importance of the subject/issue.

Also it indicates that Allah has programmed us with NO other alternative on cretin Issue and that is what written over mankind. However the mankind may not do it exactly or as recommended or instructed BUT they have do it even if they do it differently [Allah knows best ]  [Please see article AL-KITAB to understand more]
